Teeth Whitening Tips

The dentists usually use corrosive tooth bleach for the purpose of whitening the teeth. The bleach can be harsh. The methods of whitening teeth available today include the use of chemicals which are dangerous. These chemicals may leak through the delicate tissues under the tongue in the mouth. Thus, one can get problems through chemical exposure on using bleaching and whitening products, gels, kits, strips and other systems. We can avoid this by adopting natural ways of bleaching or whitening the teeth at home.

Firstly, one should get a regular cleaning of teeth done from a dentist one to two times in a year. Brushing and flossing of teeth should be done twice daily at bedtime. One should prevent the formation of plaque which results in discoloration of teeth. For preventing plaque, one should carry floss along even when eating out. One can floss while watching T.V. After eating one should make sure to rinse the mouth.

staining of teeth. Diseases and symptoms have been associated with drinking water containing fluoride. For having white teeth it is advisable to quit smoking or reduce it to the maximum. Another cause of staining of teeth is coffee and tea. One should sip or rinse the mouth with water when drinking these beverages and after drinking them. Colas and wine also contribute to formation of stains.

Some fruits like strawberry are excellent tooth whiteners. Another fruit that can be used for whitening the teeth is the inside part of the peel of orange. A paste of organic dried peel along with ground bay leaves can be made and brushed. Also, a mixture of lemon juice and salt can be used. The mouth should be rinsed well after the use of these natural methods of whitening the teeth.

Baking soda which is one of the ingredients of many kinds of toothpaste can also be used for whitening of teeth along with salt. One should avoid the use of mouthwash as it causes stain and discoloring agents such as alcohol and other chemicals. These agents are absorbed in the body and are harmful. One should consume a lot of water. The mouth should be rinsed thoroughly after eating anything and after meals in order to remove any residue of the food from the teeth. A better diet consisting of more raw foods including fruits and vegetables and salads should be taken. Fast food and also food which is processed should be avoided. Constant snacking should be avoided. Thus, by following these tips one can have a white teeth and a winning smile using natural methods which is a cheaper and less harmful method.
